WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY!
My name is Sunette Chapman. I’m the founder and owner of Envision Family Eyecare. As a child, I’ve been struggling with my eyesight and went from one doctor to the next. To date, I’ve had 11 eye surgeries and the road to having functional vision is not easy. I want to help other children prevent what I went through and after my Bachelors of Optometry degree in 2004, I decided to further my studies in pediatric optometry. In August 2008, I received a post graduate degree in Binocular and Pediatric vision through The New England College of Optometry in Boston USA.
As a student, I started working in a pediatric practice since 2000 and I’ve been working with kids ever since. I am now based in Windhoek since 2011 and I fell in love with Namibia and it’s people. I absolutely love working with children, especially the one’s who struggle with school related visual problems as well as pathological problems like I had.
Today, I’m also a mother and I had a vision of what my two passions in life would look like if put together: Family and Vision. I wanted to create a safe and child friendly environment for kids to have their eyes tested without feeling anxious. But also, I wanted to create a one stop destination for the whole family, grandma included. That’s where the dream of ENVISION FAMILY EYECARE was born.

In the beginning of 2023, I approached a well known colleague of mine to join my practice. Jolize Brand has been in practice since 2012. I fell in love with her vibrant personality. She is brilliant with kids and she has tremendous love for people and optometry. She believes that the eyes are the window to one’s soul. She became family almost immediately.
